Backpackers Hostel K's House Kyoto opened Nov 2003 is located in central Kyoto, only 9 minutes walk from JR Kyoto Station.

News

K's House Tokyo Oasis (our 2nd branch in Tokyo ) just opend on 20th Oct 2009 !

It's small house but high quality hostel with affordable price private rooms as well as dorm beds.

K's House Kyoto was expanded in April 2008 !

A new building will be located right next to K's House Kyoto. It has 6 floors and a roof top picnic area ,more than 35 new rooms , elevator to access to all the floors, a cafe bar (1F) where you can have a breakfast in the mornings and enjoy drinking at night.

We are a modern hostel and all our rooms have air conditioning for free We also offer a fully equipped kitchen for our guests along with internet access, laundry service (washing machine and dryer), individual common showers with hot water 24 hours a day,cozy lounge, tatami lounge room with Horigotatsu and a magnificent courtyard with benches.

Our staff speak English and will help you with any travel info.

4bed private w/shared bath room is Japanese style tatami room with Wifi in room for 4persons 12000yen/room/night

Double ensuite A type 4400yen/person/night - double bed for 2persons room with a shower ,toilet ,TV and LAN in room (rooms are on higher floor)

Double ensuite B type 3900yen/person/night - double bed for 2persons with a shower ,toilet , TV and LAN in room (rooms are on only grand floor)

Double A type 3100yen/person/night - Double bed for 2 pesons with TV, LAN or Wifi in room (shared bath room)

Double B type 2900yen/person/night - Double bed for 2persons (shared bath room)

All the twin rooms we have are a bunk bed room for 2persons private w/shared bath room

The room was awful! it smelt to humity so much! the wall had a huge moisture, just near the bed. The worst place we had been in Japan.

All you need is there...
Sufficient space in lounge and cafe next to it.

I have traveled all over the world for the last 25 years and for the money and cleanlyness this hotel was one of the biggest standouts... We stayed at 6 different backpakers hotels in the 14 days that I toured all over Japan and really fell in love with the cleanlyness and value of this hotel. As a westerner that didnt really like asain food, the great breakfast that was available every morning at this hotel was a brite spot ( for me) on a dismsal culinary aspect of the trip. The bathing facilities were better then some other $200 a nite hotels. It was pretty much like a New college dorm apartment in the states. It was nice and quite since the hotel is tucked away on a side street off a main street that was easy to get to all the tourist sites... cant say enough good things about this hostel.. BOOK EARLY..

Great service from all the girls at the counter! Clean place, have to remove and safekeep your shoes in lockers b4 we enter the rooms. Had a wonderful stay there! The inn satisfies all backpackers needs! Good job!

I love this place... Its so clean, the place is comfortable and the toilets are clean and dry..
The doors locked by themselves when you leave the room, so you need to carry your card keys anywhere you go..
No curfew, able to enter the main gate through your card key as well.. So i think its a pretty high tech hostel..

Very comfortable and clean place, english speaking staff, very kind and helpful. Bike rental very practical to discover Kyoto by nice weather. Many foreign people met, from all over the world, perfect to exchange experience about travelling.
The same in japanese style would be perfect !!

Possibly the best run hostel I've ever stayed in. Facilities were excellent, staff were very well informed and spoke excellent English.
