K's House Mt.Fuji (open in March 2007) is our 4th hostel in the K's House Chain .
Located in Kawaguchiko which is a very good base for Mt Fuji.
13min walk from Kawaguchiko station (Free pick up service is available 8:30 to 19:30).

K's House Mt Fuji is fully renovated modern building with Japanese style private rooms and western style dormitory beds .
We have individual showers with hot water 24 hours a day. We also offer a fully equiped guest kitchen ,TV room with free DVD movies, darts and board games,
spacious cozy lounge, internet access, laundry facilities (washing machine and dryer), Japanese style tatami lounge.
Our staff speak English and will help you with any travel information you need.
Note : All the private rooms we have are Japanese style rooms with tatami matt.
-Some 6-bed dormitory rooms have only 5 beds or 4 beds! (prices are the same)

Thank you for making a reservation at K's House Mt.Fuji!
Check in time 15:00pm-20:00pm
Reception open 8:00am-20:00pm
Free pick up service is available between 8:00-19:30.
You can drop off your luggage anytime after 8:00am.
Please let us know if you plan to check in after 20:00.
- If you need to cancel your booking or change the dates, please email us (fuji@kshouse.jp) by 2 days before your scheduled arrival.
We require 48 hours cancellation notice prior to your scheduled arrival, otherwise we will charge you cancellation fee as below.
* 30% of your first night will be charged if you do not notify us about your cancellation by 20:00pm 2days before from your scheduled arrival.
* 50% of your first night will be charged if you do not notify us about your cancellation by 20:00pm on the day before from your scheduled arrival.
* 100% of your first night will be charged if you do not notify us about your cancellation before 11:00am on the day or No Show on your scheduled arrival.
* If you do not show up without noticing us,
and if you have reserved more than two nights,
the remaining nights will be canceled.
-All the private rooms we have are Japanese style rooms with tatami matt and futon mattress(no bed).
-Some 6-bed dormitory rooms have only 5 beds or 4 beds! (prices are the same)
-We do not accept large group (> 9 people) bookings even if the bookings come from different persons with the intention to form a group in the hostel. We have the right to cancel large group bookings.
- Any deposit paid for large group bookings cannot be claimed back to the host.

I think a backpapackers hostek should lkook just like this. Not only pretty, but also very helpful and kind staff. I got all the information I needed, kitchen and internet worked just great for me. I definitely reccommend this place to all travellers.

The one day tour of Mt. Fuji area organized by K's house is excellent. Highly recommended for those who do not have a car to get around.

When I called K's house, the manager picked us up at the station even though it wasn't their pick up service time. The rooms are clean and facilities are convenient. I was fully satisfied and I hope I could stay another K's house in other places.

Feedback is - to post directions if travellers come in from Osaka/Kyoto ie from the other direction.
Mt Fuji is big and lots of places to visit, pls advise on nos of days and key places.
Recommended also to assist on any onward bookings at K HOUSES elsewhere.

The staff at K's house are very welcoming and exceptionally helpful. All can speak excellent English which really helped useless Japanese speakers like myself. Although our room (an ensuite Japanese style one for two) was on the back of the building with no view of Fuji, the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
Useful info too on local restaurants and all the Japan guidebooks if you want to read them all. Bikes to hire were worth it as well.
You have really scored if you are looking for a relatively cheap place to stay with good access to Fuji and the surrounding lakes.
