Was so good to be so close to a JR station, this place is perfect for those who have a JR pass and it was close to supermarkets etc. I will stay again when I come back to Japan.

This place was very close to the JR rail station Shin-Imamya, making it very easy to explore Osaka and its surrounds. The hotel itself is very simple, but provides everything you could need (toothbrush, slippers, towels etc). Very cheap for inner city accomodation. I would stay here again if I ever go back to Osaka
This hotel is such great value. Very simple and a little run down but one of the cheapest you'll find in Osaka!! You get free (real) coffee in the morning and they sell croissants at the front desk for 100 yen. They only have one dorm so get in quick - but even then the single/double rooms are also super cheap! The area is pretty dodgy if you ask the locals but if you do a search you'll find most of the other hostels are in this area anyway. It's only 200 yen subway ride to Namba anyway so not bad at all. Be careful walking around at night.
This business hotel was in a great location right near the station. It was really good value for money. There were shops and restaurants nearby. The elevator was dodgy and the staff spoke very little english. However, I would stay there again because the price was good and the hotel was clean.
Very convenient location that is right next to Dobutsuen-Mae station. While the neighbourhood is known to be dodgy by some locals, the homeless people hardly present any threat to traveller safety.
Hotel Chuo is no-frills, therefore you get what you pay for.
Still a pretty good value proposition for budget travellers.
