It's a great place for backpackers. Price per night is rather cheap and the hotel is very close to the subway M22. The location is perfect to reach tenno-ji or dotombori, which are only a few stops away by subway. It's also close to Namba station that means it is easy to reach connections to Kyoto. The room and the service is rather standard for Japan: clean, small rooms with light bathrobe and throwaway toothbrush.

Now Hotel Mikado is ''No curfew'' from Jun 2009.

Our hotel is located in the heart of Osaka City and you can reach major sightseeing cities such as Kyoto, Nara and Kobe within one hour. We are just 1 minutes work from No 2 exit of subway ( Midou-Suji line ) Doubutsuenmae station, and only 2 stations to Namba, 6 stations to Umed!

All visitors can enjoy free use of a big bath and a sauna! We provide clean and affordable accommodation to all guests.

All our guests have free access to one of our three ADSL connected

computers or can jack their laptops into one of our connections.

All rooms include: 20 inch TV, VCR, refrigerator, air conditioner and

closet.

Room amenities include: Bath towel, facial towel, night gown, tooth brush &

paste and room slippers

Recommended restaurants are just 2-7 minutes walk away! We are also close to some of the local attractions such as Tennouji Zoo, Osaka Art Museum and Tennouji Museum, Tennouji Parkwhich and Shitennouji Temple that are all just 5 - 10 minutes walk away!

To USJ ( Universal Studios Japan) only 20 minutes by train.

Bathroom is shared and the bed is a little hard, but if you're on a shoe-string I would recommend the place.
