really cheap accommodation and it's a 2 min walk of the metro dobutsuenmae and 10 mins walk to go to shinsekai market. you could rent bicycle for 500 yen a day. public bathroom are a bit dirty, and the public bath are ok. you could get in even if you have tatoos. service is ok. overall, it's perfect for the price. The only negative point is the cleanliness. check your bed ! i found bugs in my room and in my bed as well.

You will be in either Japanese-style or Western-style room if you book a Single room type. You may request one of the two types when you check-in. Twin rooms are Western-style only.

A convenience store and 100YEN shop (you can buy everything only at 100yen) near by. Over 1000 video tapes are available to rent, both Western and Japanese movies. Sauna also available inside the public bathroom.

The only negative point is the cleanliness. check your bed ! i found bugs in my room and in my bed as well... A lot of homeless around during the night and it's pretty dirty outside. But, It's still a safe area ... Just keep your eyes open.

The taxi driver who dropped me off there said the place was not safe. Ultimately, it was all fine, but I was always worried. Japan is a pretty safe place compared to US. So the taxi driver's warning should be calibrated accordingly.
The room was pretty shabby. Of course, you cannot expect any more when you pay so less.
The shared bath was good and the front desk was very helpful. I had my own laptop into which I plugged an available ethernet connection near the front-desk. Worked great! Was a life-saver. No wireless.

Friendly staff and clean rooms, with pleasant other guest as well.
