Your reservation will be canceled if you choose AFTER 18.00 or you don't show up by 18.00.
Instead, you can check-in from 10.00.
Please contact us in advance to arrange an out of office hour check in if you are arriving out of hours before you book on the hostelworld.

At the moment, our total capacity is 10 in all. You can make friends easily.
SUMO BACKPACKERS are located in Nakatsu in the heart of OSAKA.
Easily accessible - only 1 minute walk from subway Midosuji line Nakatsu station (1 stop from Umeda station) or a 15 minute walk from JR Osaka station.
Subway Midosuji line (red) is the most important and used line for Osaka's people and it passes through Shin-Osaka, Umeda, Shinsaibashi, Namba and Tennoji.
About 30 min. to KYOTO and KOBE. 10 min. to SHINSAIBASHI or NANBA (another downtown in Osaka)
We provide free internet access and TV, a DVD player.
We also provide linen free of charge, however please bring your own towel.
If you do not arrive after 3 hours we will have to cancel your booking. If you are delayed for some reasons, please contact us to let us know.
We do not accept credit cards.
Please make sure you exchange some currency at the airport because it is difficut to find banks in town to exchange currency.

This is a very cool place for people into this sort of thing. Those looking for a high tech, five star hotel should look into booking themselves a room there instead of a backpacker hotel.
And the girl at the reception was very nice. Never got her name, but if she sees this, the guy living in Himeji who was going to the punk show thinks you rock!

Not a fancy place by any standard, but it has a good atmosphere and is in an excellent location (just a few steps from the subway and within easy walking distance of Umeda/Osaka) both for seeing Osaka and for using as a base to exploring the surroundings.
There's only one shower and one toilet. This was never a problem while I stayed there (even though the place was full), but I imagine it can mean a bit of a wait sometimes.
