If we had known that Yamatoya Honten was this good we wold have booked to stay longer. I nave nothing but good things to say about this ryokan. It is good value, perhaps because the interior is a little run down and they don't feel they can charge as much. Its location is great, just a few minutes walk from a downtown subway station, and close to centre of the city. Service was excellent and the size of the room and ensuite bathroom was good.

Yamatoya Honten is a convenient place to stay while traveling through Kansai.Our location provides the perfect chance to explore Osaka, and is an ideal stop for those en route to Kyoto, Kobe and Nara.

We are very close to 'Dotombori'(one of the most famous areas of Osaka), and Shinsaibashi (shopping district ) and Den-Den-town (electronics retail) are just a few minutes away. We offer traditional Japanese accommodation and atmosphere in the modern city of Osaka.

Guest rooms are Japanese style with bathroom.

From Kansai Airport : You should take Nankai Railway or JR ( Nankai Railway is reccommend) to Namba , get off and transfer to Sennichimae Line Subway to Nippombashi ( exit 6 ) .You can also walk from Namba to our hotel.

From JR Osaka station : You should take Midosuji Line subway from Umeda to Namba, get off and transfer to Sennichimae Line Subway to Nippombashi( exit 6 ). You can also walk from Namba to our hotel.

If we had known that Yamatoya Honten was this good we wold have booked to stay longer. I nave nothing but good things to say about this ryokan. It is good value, perhaps because the interior is a little run down and they don't feel they can charge as much. Its location is great, just a few minutes walk from a downtown subway station, and close to centre of the city. Service was excellent and the size of the room and ensuite bathroom was good. They do tend to email you a lot to confirm your reservation but otherwise I am glad we booked here.
