my 1st time staying in a hostel, felt really pampered with the facilities! cleanliness is top rate. better than many hotels (havent tried japan ones tho). dorm was fairly quiet and it was a short less than 10min walk fr the station. we arrived at 11+ and it was really safe to walk ard (we're 2 20 yr old girls)
would come back for future trips! highly recommended

Directions from Ikebukuro Station ( 6 minutes walk )
1. Leave the station from the central exit (underground) and go to the west exit (ground level)
2. You will see a row of taxis and a McDonald's in front of you. Turn right, then left at the traffic light.
3. Go straight till you get to a large intersection with a traffic light. You will see 'OIOI' department store on the opposite side. Turn right at the intersection
4. Go straight for two blocks. You will see 'Denny's' restaurant and a post office on your left. Turn left at the second traffic light
5. You will see Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro on your left.
