Budget Accommodation Africa Kenya Nairobi Budget Hotels Mooreland Hotel
Situated north-east of Nairobi city centre, Mooreland hotel is located on top of a local bar. This bar can be noisy late at night/early in the morning. We had a room with two large single beds, one bed was comfortable while the other was rock hard! For the cost though, it is expected.

I moved out after one night because of many mosquitoes. The metal framed windows did not close properly. There was a net but tied so tightly I couldn't loosen it without tearing. The location is impossible at this time because of major road works and traffic diverting through the side streets. No WiFi. Staff very friendly and helpful although they wouldn't serve a beer till after 5pm - some new law to welcome the tourists!

We arrived just after midnight and there was a sleepy girl which showed us a room to stay. The room was clean but in there was a layer of dust in the bathroom.
But the biggest problem is area. The hotel is located in poor zone and there are lots of "streetwalkers" outside chatting aloud during night. If you are not lucky you can hear their job process through thin walls about 4-5 pm.
Overall area seems to be not safe for travelers and our local driver was actually surprised why we booked the hotel there.
There is the only advantage of the hotel - its price.
