About Mady's
This is a newly furbished property, with a city centre atmosphere very close to the pubs of Gemmayze. It is in Zone number 2 after city centre. It is on 6th floor with an excellent view.
The flat is very welcoming with a well furnished saloon and brand new furnishings. Fully air-conditioned and 100 channel satellite TV.
It is ideal for friends who want to come for winter skiing and club back at night or summer atmosphere with nightclubing afterwards.
This hostel/apartment is not available for full booking, only rooms can be booked, not the whole apartment.
Bank facilities and printing amenities are close as well.
For all those coming from abroad, we would like to know if you would like to have a taxi pickup from the airport which is cheaper than airport based taxis.

This is an excellent place to stay... The owners are very kind and helpful, the place is very clean, and the location is excellent. However, I wouldn't stay there again simply because there is no wifi. If Mady's had wifi, it would be perfect.

That is a nice facility not far from Martyr's square, on the Rue Gouraud which is populated by many bars and night clubs.
The rooms and bathrooms are spacy and clean, the flat is in a nicely maintained building.
The facility is much more than a hostel, I would rather classify it as an appartment with furniture.
If you stay there Friday or Saturday night, there might be some noise due to frequented bars in the area. The traffic may get stuck during late hours of the night and the Lebanese like to honk quite often.
The manager/owner of the facility do their best to make you feel comfortable and explain every single detail you need.

The only critical thing was the bed to get a good night's sleep was not so easy. Everything else was great.

The place has everything one would need and the owners keep it in good condition. Mady's was part of a fantastic experience in Lebanon for me with rooms that offer some privacy at a great value. I would definitely select the place again. My only complaint is that the power went out for very long time on several occasions and there was no generator back-up there.

My room was perfect!
Clean, great storage space, air conditioning, comfortable bed, door to balcony, 24 hour access.
The entire apartment is beautiful, clean and spacious.
Amazing value for the location and facilities.
But the best thing about Mady's is Madeleine and Mike Borg.
They made my time there wonderful with all the info i could possibly need and I felt I could contact them anytime and they are just beautiful.
I will recommend Mady's to everyone coming to Beirut!!

This hostel was more of a welcome surprise than I thought it would be. It is ideally located on Gemmayze where many of the bars/restaurants are, in a comfortable area with easy access to downtown and the infamous ABC Shopping Mall and Spinny's Supermarket.
There is a great balcony overlooking the street, good bathroom, kitchen and living quarter facilities. It makes it easy to mix with other guests.
The managers take good care of you and are a great source of information should you want to take a trip anywhere or need to know anything about the Lebanese way of doing things.
Essentially, it is a very affordable and clean place with a lot of heart in it.
Maybe a less squeaky bed would be better but this is minor point after great days out in a beautiful country.
Overall, I will remember Mady's when I return next to Lebanon... because we all know we have to go back!
