tigerlily5 Outstanding in all ways. Free tea and coffee all day.. And when I mentioned special diet requirements for coeliac disease (no bread) Belen ensured I had egg, rice crackers, a baked apple and gluten free biscuits for breakfast. probably the best of any Hospedajes we have visited in Patagonia
bonnitaylor Hosteria Las Avutardas was a highlight to my recent trip in Patagonia! It exceeded all my expectations and was a great place to stay! Andy is beyond helpful, and the facilities were spacious, clean, and comfortable. There is even a sunny, private courtyard for guest to relax and unwind! The hotel is also very knowledgable about the area, and able to recommend and book any excursions that you wish to go on. This is a wonderful, family run facility that I will certainly recommend to any and all!

Virgoletta This is a small house with only a handful of rooms. You feel more like a house guest than a hostel guest. The four girls who run the place are very, very nice and helpful. Three of them spoke excellent English, while we did a lot of smiling and pointing with the other girl. They were super helpful with booking the Todos Glaciares trip, lunch boxes etc. They asked us about breakfast time every day and it was lovely - mixed fruit salad, bread, jam, ham and cheese, fresh coffee. And home made cake as well. The room was simple, and clean. The bathroom was shared, but impeccably clean. The wifi was good and if it stopped working, the girls would immediately take care of it. The hostel was just one block of the main Avenida and about 4 blocks along the Avenida to the city centre. There is an excellent restaurant right next to the hostal, and there are many, many other choices a little further along the road. All in all, a very pleasant stay. We would definitely come back.

selinabayl The hostel is very nice, modern, but the kitchen is small and could do with more equipment. It gets very crowded! The hostel is 10 mins walk from town, but I think they offer a free cab from the bus station and they can arrange a bus from the airport with is reasonable. If you´re returning to the airport, make sure you get a green receipt to get a discounted return. I had a double room, which was comfortable but the toilet and shower didn´t smell great! The staff are very helpful and enthusiastic and great at arranging trips. The one downside is that the hostel is noisy till quite late and carries an echo. If you want a quiet place, slightly muted, go elsewhere! Otherwise great!
