aussieocea Brilliant place to stay for a week. clean rooms friendly staff. Great location with the bus dropping us off at the front door too. great value
Sander Waaaay at the north end of town (about as far from the new bus terminal as you can get, and also quite a hike to the largest concentration of restaurants; close to the start of the trail to Laguna de los Tres, though), with lackluster service (effectively no English spoken), flaky wifi, too soft mattresses, a tiny and not very inspiring breakfast, and a shower which was almost impossible to adjust to a good temperature, this place left us decidedly underwhelmed. It's not a _bad_ place in itself, but I strongly suspect better places are around.
dk112 friendly helpful staff with walk planning, english spoken, rooms cleaned daily, great shower, secure lockers, upstairs lounge nice and quiet, laundry service available so no facilities for doing your own, many large but few small pots for cooking, limited cooking utensils, fridge too small, flies a problem in the dining room despite frequent spraying.
Rhombus Lo De Trivi was a wonderful place to stay. They have a great kitchen, including a barrilla area. They clean everyday. The staff is friendly and aiming to please. The rooms are a bit cozy, but warm. The beds are very comfortable and quiet. Lo de Trivi isn't fancy, but it is charming, friendly, and affordable. It's a good option to take when in Chalten. The beer is inexpensive..;-D Lo de Trivi is within a five minute walk of the Cerro Fitzroy Trailhead, as well as the north trail to Laguna de Torre Trailhead as well. I stayed for 9 days, and I will stay there again when i return to Chalten. Cheers!
