l.robey We enjoyed our time at Lagares Hostel. It is a bit of a walk into the town but a nice walk and the staff were really helpful with maps to point us where to go. The rooms were comfortable and they cleaned the bathrooms well and frequently. They also had really big lockers in the rooms which fitted packs in easily. Breakfast was good, internet access is good and they have a smallish TV and a DVD collection which is good too. They could also help you organise tours. Overall I would recommend it.

joe996 The Mendoza Monkey Hostel is a great place, with a really kind and helpful staff (all of whom speak very good English!). There´s a friendly atmosphere, and there were barbecues organised in the hostel, as well as tours to go on during the days. We went on a wine tour, entirely organised by Luc, the owner of the hostel, and it was unbelievable - amazing scenery, food and wine. It is also cheap to rent bikes and ride around the city, which is as laid back as the hostel. We really enjoyed our time here, and highly recommend it!

tomasvalas Very convenient getting to/from bus station, and fairly close to center. A bit noisy due to traffic if you are in the 6bed dorm on the streetside. The 12 bed dorm was quiet and recently renewed. Helpful staff, clean facilities, and a nice large kitchen. Breakfast was not very good, just pastries and Tang. Hostel was well-secured (Alcatraz-like :-) - cameras, receptionist/security/judo guy ) and they had nice big lockers. We enjoyed our stay here.
