l.robey We enjoyed our time at Lagares Hostel. It is a bit of a walk into the town but a nice walk and the staff were really helpful with maps to point us where to go. The rooms were comfortable and they cleaned the bathrooms well and frequently. They also had really big lockers in the rooms which fitted packs in easily. Breakfast was good, internet access is good and they have a smallish TV and a DVD collection which is good too. They could also help you organise tours. Overall I would recommend it.
demelza.sa Very organized, friendly and helpful staff, always cleaning! Both kitchens were well equipped, organized and clean the majority of the time. On a quiet street so the only noise came from guests inside. Some sort of activity going on every evening and a free glass of wine. WIFI reasonably fast and wide-spead. Breakfast was abundant, Eggs, fruit, pastries, coffee, tea, juice, etc and always enough of everything. It's a large hostel that they manage to keep running very smoothly. I would stay there again!

tomasvalas Very convenient getting to/from bus station, and fairly close to center. A bit noisy due to traffic if you are in the 6bed dorm on the streetside. The 12 bed dorm was quiet and recently renewed. Helpful staff, clean facilities, and a nice large kitchen. Breakfast was not very good, just pastries and Tang. Hostel was well-secured (Alcatraz-like :-) - cameras, receptionist/security/judo guy ) and they had nice big lockers. We enjoyed our stay here.

Sander Service was friendly to the point of being obsequious (maybe they're trying to counteract the negative attack reviews on tripadvisor?). The location is on the opposite side of the city center from where you want to be (useful for being close to the bus station, but the lonely planet also warns about avoiding the vicinity of the bus station after dark, which was confirmed here), though we were given a bus card upon checkin, and busses run near constantly (leaving from the same corner on which you can find the only minimarket in the area which can put more credit on the card), which means that the location wasn't as much of an issue as it might've been. The garden was nice, if suffering a bit from street noise. Buffet breakfast was decent. Overall not a bad place, if not quite perfect either.
