playwright This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were some of the nicest people and the location was great. It's a little bit far from the attractions of the city, but close enough to the bus station that it doesn't suffer. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Service at the hotel restaurant was a little slow but the food was fantastic. By some chance, I ended up with a smoking room when I would have preferred a non-smoking room, but it was so well clean that I did not mind.
annjones5 Very clean and comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Further from city centre than we had realised (30 min walk) and difficult to find initially due to insufficient directions re public transport. But overall a very positive experience.
villa.eino Adlerhof was very easy to find. Breakfast was good and staff spoke very good english. The pub next door was like a living room; customers were like old mates.
fgirard Very clean older h otel. Warm reception. Right on the bus route to downtown (about 15 mins) and 25-min bus ride to the train station. Good value for the money in this gorgeous city.
LondonMike A bit out of the way. Clean & courteous. Breakfast great when bus tour present, otherwise nothing special.

vgylsen This was very clean accomodation, where staff are friendly and although the building holds accomodation to many others aswell as holding lectures for schools (that was my impression anyway), you just don't seem to notice it! No one will disturb you, you will have the city pretty much to yourself. People who share the accomodation seem to be really on a level, mature type of people. The staff sat down to help me with my holiday plan. you can borrow a hair dryer for free, if you need towels that costs around 1.30 euro. There are no tea making facilities in your dorm, however the reception is open until midnight. though after that, you are can't find hot water for tea anywhere. bus stop is very near to this place- 5 minutes walk if that. then you can get 2 buses to the centre. Very good holiday, very good trip. Salzburg really is something.
jesse76 I think that the Youth and Family Guesthouse in Salzburg was really lovely. The staff were all really friendly and I miss them dearly. They were really helpful and presented a warm and friendly welcome. The location was ideal as it was in close walking distance to all local amenties. The facilities were fantastic as there was many facilities in good working order. The showers were lovely and hot and clean everyday of my stay. The accommodation cost was very reasonable and overall the service was very satisfactory. Many Thanks Jessica Ebbage
rosejean.k The Snooze Hotel is a budget hotel. The design is very minmal and the room is just big enough for a bed ... think Tokyo small. However, the friendly and helpful staff and the great location make up for the plainness. It's right by the bus stop (line 1) that takes you all around the city. It also has a post office next door which makes mailing postcards a breeze. The location is away from the crazy touristy scene, so it was nice to get some peace and quiet in the evening ... but all the sightseeing destinations can be reached within 15 minutes or less by bus. Remember Salzburg has no metro system - but only a bus system - since the city is quite compact. You can buy a ticket on the bus and pay the driver if necessary. Things to keep in mind: 1. There is no phone in the room, so your friends must leave messages at the front desk. 2. Since there is no phone, there is no wake up call service ... so you must either pull the shade up and wake up with the sun or bring your own travel alarm clock. 3. The email from the hotel said the bus stop was "Glanstag" but the actual name is "Maxglaner" on either bus line 1 or 8. However, only the 1 can be accessed at the main train station (Hauptbanhof).
