teddyychung The location of this place is excellent, couple blocks from the sky train and Canadian line that runs to richmond and the airport. It's right in the middle of downtown where all the action is. The staff is helpful and friendly, and there is a common room with a pool table and couches. Now for the cons. The place is generally clean, but the bathroom can use a little scrubbing, and the table in the common room is sticky and grimy. If you get one of the rooms toward the street it will be quite noisy. The windows are thin and you will hear all the conversations of the drunkies on the streets. The rooms are also very small and it gets difficult to maneuver if there is one other person in the room.
Sander A wonderful small place, where the friendly owners make you feel right at home. Breakfast ingredients are extensive (eggs, mushrooms, bacon, etc), the DVD library is great, and overall I really can't find a fault with this place. It's certainly not the cheapest place in Vancouver, but well worth the money.
Sander I guess I should've paid more attention to the description of this hostel on here, as it came as a nasty surprise that the (tiny) kitchen didn't include a stove. Other than that this place was okay; good atmosphere, pretty decent breakfast (though most of the time you'll have to eat it standing). Its location on Granville is useful - within easy walking distance of the Davie Street restaurants as well as the skytrain.
