luis8689 This is an awesome place to stay if you don't want to spend a lot of money. There are many rooms and the family is very friendly. Breakfast changes everyday and they serve natural fruits and vegetables they grow in their garden. It is located a block away from the main street and you will love it. While you're having breakfast, the owner ask you for your plans for the day and then she will organise everything for you. They also go to the airport to pick you up and then the day you have to leave they will also bring you to the airport. It's a very recommendable place to stay.

bjackson9 Were greeted at airport with flower necklaces by Peter, owner of family operated hotel. Hotel was short half block from the airport gate. The grounds in front of the hotel are beautiful, with banana trees, avocado trees, and flora. The owners were hosting family friends with a cookout the day we arrived, and invited us to join them. The food was fresh fish, caught the previous day, along with fresh vegetables and salad. We were made to feel at home immediately. The dining area and kitchen were nice, and had a shared refrigerator. We cooked food for ourselves several times. We were given a larger room than the one we had reserved, as the Peter and his wife Minae(?) felt that I was too big a man for the bed in the original room. The room was big, with a double and twin bed. The bathroom was nice, but if the window was left open, some large bugs visited. It was hard to get the shower to a steady temperature, but they definitely had hot and cold water. Peter took us on a short tour of the main area and town just after we arrived, and recommended shopping and banking areas if needed. Peter is a native Rapa Nui and is very environmentally conscious. They recycle most items. Peter was really flexible in arranging a six hour island tour that met our budget, and we were happy to pay a native to share with us his knowledge and passion for his ancestry. We had the opportunity to gain a better understanding of Rapa Nui culture and their sincere love and respect of the land through Peter, his family, and our experiences on the island. In the end, we made the right choice in staying with a kind and hospitable family rather than a secluded cabana or large hotel. We won't ever forget their generosity and how it topped off our trip to Easter Island as one of the best we will ever have, and they even sent us off with sea shell necklaces they had made for their guests.
