Anna22 Hostal El Refugio is in a great location, opposite the bus terminals. It was cold and rainy when I stayed there so was thankful for the cosy log fire and comfy sofas! I didn't leave it for 2 days! You can book trips and excursions at the hostel and there is 1 computer with internet. Its a small hostel and very friendly. We had a private double room (shared bathroom) which came with cable TV and were very comfortable.

melirod13 Nativa Hostel was a great place to stay at. It is located right in front of the casino and at a walking distance to most bars, and restaurants. The people there are really nice and helpful. The room I stayed at had six bunk beds. It was comfortable. There are only two bathrooms and the showers aren't that great. Overall this is a good place to stay at and I recommend it to everyone.
anita12348 The new hostel was like staying at a 4 star hotel and very central to all. Recommend it for those who get to spend a few nights in Pucon. The kitchen facility and beds are fantastic it is worth paying teh extra price for the quality and it is in a quiet area of town
fitzwilly1 good points: central locatiion, lovely cosy common areas with well stoked fires, genial host - wish I spoke Spanish bad points: dodgy hot water, get up early or shower before bed if you want a hot shower, breakfast was hit and miss.
