Louski Lovely hostel with nice rooms. We stayed in a private double with shared bathroom for three nights and a private with ensuite for one night. Rooms are very comfortable, both of ours had satellite TV! Bathrooms were nice and kept clean, no handsoap in the shared bathrooms though. Kitchen facilities are good too and there's a nice courtyard for meals etc. Two dogs and lots of cats for company! The location is a bit further out of the town center, but if you don't mind the 15 minute walk it's a nice peaceful location. Definitely not a party hostel, but great for couples or those wanting a relaxing visit in San Pedro!

mariago83 I stayed in Sol Atacama Hostel for 2 nights before my trip to Uyuni and one after that trip. By the price you know you are staying at a budget place, so you should be expecting budget facilities. Once you have this in mind, the place is basic, but great. It looks quite far away from the centre when looking at San Pedro's map, but it is only a 5 minute walk from the centre, and has 2 shops to buy food next to it. This hostel has room for 12 people and one toilet and shower to share, a second one is going to be build. It has a kitchen and a ping pong table too. The place is clean and not too crowded-like other hostels in San Pedro de Atacama- and it has a friendly atmosphere. The guy that runs it is a young chilean called Andres and he is very friendly and helpful, and encourages people to enjoy a few drinks in San Pedro town with him - no party session at the hostel- so you can either join him/the rest of backpackers or enjoy a quiet early sleep.
ozzi-pete Very cosy and friendly place, only if your spanish is bad, you´ll have a bit of problem to communicate with the owner. Apart from that a very good place to stay
tessapudma Roberto was very friendly, but the hostel is 15 minutes walk from the centre. The bathroom were not very clean especially in the morning. No breakfast included in the price.
