cherylheff La Nona is a wonderful place to stay and feel totally relaxed. The hosts are excellent - caring and helpful. We would highly recommend this B&B
franque5 The location of Casa Kultour is great. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and enjoying the many local shops and restaurants. We got a good feel for the culture of Valparaiso. Everything was easy to access including the buses and ascensors. We would highly recommend staying here!! I would classify this as more of a hostel than a B&B.
BigCityFan Would definitely stay again! Stripped down hostel that totally nails the basics for a great economical stay. Clean, bright, friendly. Showers are genuinely hot. Beds are warm and comfortable. The breakfast included is generous. It is at the top of the hill. The ascensores (cable cars) will get you up the toughest of it for just a few coins. Take your time with the remainder - enjoy the views and cafes on the way.

bpon We recently visited the Hostal Portobello as 2 Canadian couples. The owners were super friendly and helped us with luggage, information, dinner tips and things to do in Valparaiso. Based on their information, we had a great time in Valparaiso and would recommend this B&B to anyone interested in visiting Valparaiso for the many historic and cultural attractions. The following should be kept in mind: 1. Valparaiso is very hilly and visitors should be in reasonable shape to take full advantage of the many sights. The B&B is located on a steep street that is not accessible by car, the nearest point is about 200m uphill from the Hostal 2. While the Hostal has a great view of the bay and the working port, container cranes are in operation 24 hours per day, so it tends to be a bit noisy, although we quickly adjusted to this aspect. Based on the Alejandro's (owner) recommendatiuon, we ate in the Puerto Viejo restaurant and the food and ambience were amazing at a very reasonable price.. Definitely worth it. This was our virst visit to Chile and we found the people to be very friendly and the values to be great. Overall, the Hostal Portobello is highly recommended

Anna22 Good value hostal. Situated up a very steep hill, with large bedrooms and friendly multilingual staff. I didn't like the bedrooms right by the front door/reception due to noise, but they were happy to move us upstairs when a room became available. Absolutely amazing breakfast! Small kitchen and eating area so can become busy in evenings.
travel59 It was easy to find by taxi, convenient location, hosts were very helpful. Place was clean and friendly. Good breakfast.
mazmark Hostal San Pedro was the perfect setting to a perfect 8 night getaway in Valparaiso. I travelled alone from Australia with very little Spanish, but it very quickly felt like home to me. The owner, Andres is very friendly and helpful and made an effort to look after us well. With a convenient location, lovely people, a fully equiped kitchen, washing machine and a hot shower at a truly bargain price, it is truly a great value budget stay. I would definitely stay here again if I were to return to Valpo!
