nic55 Cloudland was fantastic- staff were very helpful, central location, rooms were great and I especially like the couches outside each room. Highly recommended!
razzledazzle Had a lovely time staying at Lost Garden. The dorm rooms are nice enough for a budget price. The best things are the staff who are always trying to help you and are very courteous, and the food which is Western food - but it tastes great, better than many places in the West! I hadn't eaten Western food for a month before I arrived here, but just having breakfast got me hooked on their food. Is a bit pricy of course, but worth it.
maba1969 the hump hostel is a very lovely place in the heart of kunming. the rooms are very big and very clean. the food is okay - like the travelllersfood almost everywere. the best is the outside terracce from which you have a great view and a relax sitting. in the nighttime it could be a bit loud because it is close to a bar area. we stay here with a five year old child and our daughter enjoyed it also very much :-)

DanmarNL This location is nothing like any hostel. It is an appartment of which one or more rooms can be rented. The appartments are really modern and clean (ours was located above a huge department store). It is good for a stay of one night if you want to go on from Kunming, but we will not recomment it if you want to go sightseeing in Kunming. The owner, Rick (good english) will really help you with anything and therefore is the service good.
