yapsookchi Overall it was a great experience for both of us. Location is great as it is very near to the main attractions. However, the room that we stayed in, the bathroom clogged on the first night and it was a bit disgusting. But after complaining to the reception, we managed to get it fixed almost immediately. Service from the staff is excellent !! I would recommend my friends to stay there.

Peter52p Great hostel in fantastic city, staff very helpful but need a little more practice with there English but they try very hard, located in quite lane with security coded gate, good wi fi connection and free internet for first 30 minutes on hostels own computers but they do not time you, they have free DVD's to use plus DVD players also free in lounge they also have cycle hire for 25rmb a day no deposit and with that they give you a bottle of water and map. hostel is a short taxi ride from main train station cost 10rmb and half an hour train ride to Shanghai on D train cost 31rmb each way 1st class, all in all a great time had by all. only negative they do not sell food or cold drinks but shops very close.

rice.steph This was my first stay at a hostel so I really have nothing to compare it to, but I really liked it! We got a room with two beds. The beds were nice and the blankets good and warm. The heater worked dependably and the bathroom was clean. I LOVED the layout of the hostel. It felt like a real Chinese garden. Our door opened up right into a rock garden. The people that worked there were very kind and helpful. We also rented bikes and the bikes were in good shape. Only 2 kuai an hour.
