Samanea Resort - Design and Concept
Samanea Resort in Khao Yai National Park provides 28 bungalows a restaurant and swimming pool. The resort is located on a hilltop with a breathtaking panoramic view of the park, the nearby Thai villages and small farms and with its design and shape, it adapts itself perfectly into this beautiful landscape.
Living in Harmony with Nature
Samanea Resort is designed as a traditional Thai Village and harmonizes with the surroundings not only because of the shape of the buildings but also by the use of the selected natural materials. Inside, the bungalows provide modern and spacious rooms. Large glass fronts on two sides open the Bungalows up to the surrounding nature. A large outdoor area allows relaxing privately in the tropical garden which provides the feeling of a tropical residence in harmony with the nature.
Water & Wastewater
To make sustainable and with the ecology of the environment harmonizing tourism possible without harming the nature of the national park or to affect the infrastructure of the small villages, the water and wastewater system was designed for independent operation. Freshwater is pumped out of the Resort internal deep wells. Wastewater is recycled by a natural filter system and the water is gathered for re-usage through a system rewarded with the Environmental Idea Competition Award in Thailand.
Restaurant & Food
To continue this concept we provide regional dishes in accordance to the seasons. Apart from our daily changing menus, our restaurant also offers a variety of traditional Thai and European foods. All dishes are prepared from fresh ingredients, partly from our own cultivation and partly from the surrounding farms and gardens.
