Buddha is the best choice so far if you wanna go to Medellín, have a nice time meeting people and be treated like a old friend of the house. I spend 3 days in the Hostel, stayed in a private bedroom with a nice bed the first day, and then tried the shared rooms with 6 more people in the room, I think there's not enough place to put your stuff, but is something you can handle easy with the storage facility. You'll have a nice entertainment room, beautiful surroundings, great bedroom mates and the best part of it for me was to be lucky enough and enjoy dinner with a guest chef from Spain, 10 dishes every night with a spectacular taste. I'm from Colombia and I was really surprised to find out I was the only one born in the country on the whole Hostel, I made great friends from other countries. In general I simply just loved it!
It's a great place to stay, the service is good and it's very well ubicated, near to shopping center, train stations, pubs among other places to visit. If my family and I will go back to medellin, obviously we will stay in Geo Hostel, a safety, beautiful and confortable place to stay

My brother and I stayed here for a handful of nights, choosing this hostel out of a handful of others we blindly sought out. After we arrived, we were soooo thankful that we picked the biggest, cleanest and friendliest hostel. The young American owners have obviously put a lot of time, money and effort into designing.... every dorm room, refurbished with handmade and sturdy wood bunk beds and painting every room into a creative depicture of different countries in South America. The bathrooms were plentiful and clean within the two story building, day beds and hammocks to relax in and not to forget the third story nook (called the castle) to have a private smoke.... The kitchen was was equipped and clean, there were multiple computers to use, washer and dryer at cost and finally.. Bogotas microbrew on tap in the bar! We abolutely loved this place and would recommend it to anyone who wants a SECURE altnerative to the party going El Poblado. The hostel has an Exito market and comdia tipca restaurants near by and is located off the Estadio Metro were you can connect to any other part of the city. The Estadio is also where you can run some laps for an early morning jog in Medellins gorgeous and free athletic centro. Thank you Wandering Paisa!
