robgrant The DYS proved to be an agency, rather a property. I thought I was booking a room in the old town, but was placed way, way up in the hills on the edge of the city. It was clear from the comments of some of the others there that they had had the same expectation. It was a reasonable walk into the old town along a lane and down five hundred steps. But it was not a reasonable walk back. Still, the family who own the hostel are nice.

mask pefect for me... some might find the location a little tricky- especially if they're looking for late night life. If you're not looking to be drunk and party every night and like a friendly, sociable, comfortable place with amazing views from the double rooms and balcony- great. Clean, comfortable, affordable and fantastic hospitality and help- why would you stay anywhere else?

kevingerar We were looking for a basic and good value for money room, simply for putting our heads down at night while travelling around Dubrovnik. With Jele and Luka's (SA-1) apartment we got more than what we asked for. It was probably the cleanest room we've stayed in on holiday, within walking distance to Lapad bay and had a good transport link with old town. Jele and Luka were extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. One other thing that stood out was their respect for your privacy as they would never enter your room during the day unless you were present to ask. They made us feel very welcome during our stay and answered any questions we had. Looking back at our stay in Dubrovnik I would certainly recommend Jele and Luka's as a suitable place to stay.
Eva S Villa Divine has truly been the highlight of my vacation to Croatia. The staff is really helpful and very welcoming. The hostel is located a bit outside of the city centre of Dubrovnik which I found very relaxing and positive since the centre gets quite busy and crowded with all the cruiseship visitors. The centre is still easily accessible by bus (10 min ride). Villa Divine has a beautiful view on the harbour and is located in a very quiet and pretty residential area with close access to beaches. It has a great terrasse and a chill out space on the lower floor. The breakfast is amazing - with fresh fruit, yoghurt and cornflakes... Rooms are nicely decorated and absolutely clean. As I said - I would recommend it to anybody who looks for a quiet, relaxing place in a welcoming athmosphere. Thanks again to Renata, Ivan and Annie. Looking forward to come again next year! ;)
ingunnwiig The people were really nice and helpful, the view from the balcony was great. Would definately stay there again.

rie.takahashi12 This was one of my favarite hostels run by such a lovely family. Also, i met great people there!!! If i am in Dubrovnik again, i will choose this place to stay!
erin.mcgin the house was lovely and clean and the owners culdnt have been nicer however the location is quite far out and esp. if you have heavy bags...it is a good 20/25 min walk to bus terminal and old town and there is alot of steps everywhere apart from that it is really nice.
clare-sutt I just stayed here with two friends for six nights. We were all absolutely one hundred percent satisfied with our stay. The owners welcomed us into their family and instantly made us feel very welcome. they were exceptionally friendly and was all in all a very relaxed environment. The location is perfect situated just outside the walls of the old town, the room was very clean, and there was a beautiful outside eating and relaxing area. I would definitely strongly recommend Family Stanos to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in Dubrovnik. Our stay was simply perfect!
