Theobarbie We had an excellent stay at House Haracic. The family who run the business were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We rented a boat for a day for a very good price from Igor, who was very helpful and a nice bloke too. He recommended a restaurant on an island off Hvar which we went to and it was excellent. They offered to cook for us many times as well, again for a very decent price, particularly considering how expensive Hvar is. The apartment itself was perfectly fine. Everything we needed was there, and it was very clean. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to visit Hvar as it is not only value for money but the family running it are charming and helpful. Highly recommended
camakaita Great place to stay, highly recommended. The owners are extremely friendly and very helpful. Branco who runs the place with his wife couldn't do enough to help us and recommend places for us to see and things to do. The place is 10 minutes walk up the hill from the centre but the benefits of staying here far outweigh this minor point. Also it means that the place is quiet and you are guaranteed a good night's sleep. Will definitely be staying here again when we come back to Hvar. Don't hesitate to book your stay here.

mosvice This may be called a "party hostel". Highly recommended for young people looking forward to party hard in Hvar. For those who are just looking for some peaceful days in the island, this might not be the appropriate hostel though it's good location, 10 minutes-walk from the center, which guarantees noiseless nights. You also have a great beach just 10-15 minutes walking from the hostel. Just ask for it. The kitchen and the common spaces close down at 23:00, which can be an inconvenient for those looking to have a late dinner. Catching wi-fi signal can be a pain in the neck in the whole building but downstairs. Dink is a cool guy, though other staff members may not result as friendly as he is.
claire.s Had a great stay at Luka's Lodge. Luka was extremely hospitable and welcoming, very helpful and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. He cooked us a lovely BBQ and we enjoyed some of his home-made olive oil and wine. We highly recommend you stay with Luka if you visit Hvar. Claire & Lewie (NZ)
