x The average starting price for a place to stay in Hvar is £26 per night.
mosvice This may be called a "party hostel". Highly recommended for young people looking forward to party hard in Hvar. For those who are just looking for some peaceful days in the island, this might not be the appropriate hostel though it's good location, 10 minutes-walk from the center, which guarantees noiseless nights. You also have a great beach just 10-15 minutes walking from the hostel. Just ask for it. The kitchen and the common spaces close down at 23:00, which can be an inconvenient for those looking to have a late dinner. Catching wi-fi signal can be a pain in the neck in the whole building but downstairs. Dink is a cool guy, though other staff members may not result as friendly as he is.
Theobarbie We had an excellent stay at House Haracic. The family who run the business were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We rented a boat for a day for a very good price from Igor, who was very helpful and a nice bloke too. He recommended a restaurant on an island off Hvar which we went to and it was excellent. They offered to cook for us many times as well, again for a very decent price, particularly considering how expensive Hvar is. The apartment itself was perfectly fine. Everything we needed was there, and it was very clean. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to visit Hvar as it is not only value for money but the family running it are charming and helpful. Highly recommended
jasmien_pa Great place, clean room, nice badroom, very nice terras! Lots of stairs to the old city (5 min walk) but worth it!

claire.s Had a great stay at Luka's Lodge. Luka was extremely hospitable and welcoming, very helpful and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. He cooked us a lovely BBQ and we enjoyed some of his home-made olive oil and wine. We highly recommend you stay with Luka if you visit Hvar. Claire & Lewie (NZ)
Hanne R We were three people, one adult and two boys (16 and 13 years old). We liked Villa Skansi in many aspects, but unfortunately we got the only room without a balcony, and the only room (I think) without aircondition. It was extremely hot and the room was not very pleasant. I believe all the other rooms were a lot better. I think Villa Skansi must be a great place for young people who stay 2-3 nights. My impression is that young people enjoyed their stay at Villa Skansi, and liked the possibility to socialize on the pleaseant terrace together with other visitors. I also must make a comment upon the kitchen. It was dark and dirty. It was definately not a place that motivated me to cook! Julia and her husband were both helpful an pleasant. And I am sure most visitors have great memories from their stay at Villa Skansi.
