Staying with Elza was absolutely fabulous. What a wonderful introduction to Croatia for us. She was so hospitable and helpful while we were at her place for two days. She gave us wonderful cherries from her tree, fresh cheese from the island of Pag, gave us great tips on what to see and where to eat in Zadar etc. She was alot of fun to be with and it is obvious she thoroughly enjoys hosting people. The apartment we had was very comfortable and very reasonable. Totally awesome!

This guesthouse is in a perfect location right in the old town, and the friendly owner will give advice about attractions etc. It's absolutely spotless, secure and very comfortable, at a bargain price. Guests have full use of the kitchen. Bathrooms are shared but as there are only a handful of rooms this isn't a problem.
Nice clean appartements, across the street from the "beach". In a quiet area of Zadar, Old town is a 1 hour walk. Public transportation a few meters away, and only 8 kuna p/p. Friendy owners who give handy tips.

It was a bit hard to locate as it is basically a residential flat, but was very comfortable, and had a great location slap-bang in the middle of the old town (so don't believe the guide books that tell you there isn't anywhere in this location!) The owner was extremely helpful with local advice . Highly recommended!
We stayed here for 1 night en route to Istria from Ireland. the hostel was basic but convenient and clean. nice staff,
