bex76 This guesthouse is in a perfect location right in the old town, and the friendly owner will give advice about attractions etc. It's absolutely spotless, secure and very comfortable, at a bargain price. Guests have full use of the kitchen. Bathrooms are shared but as there are only a handful of rooms this isn't a problem.

bruno.mant The Hostel is in a family house, there´s no reception desk. It's located in a industrial neighborhood 20 min away (to the east) from the old town, with a bus stop in front of the house. The rooms are clean and very tidy, with a small full-equiped kitchen and ensuite bathroom. There's a nice garden also. The staff was kind and gave us maps and information (altought they speak very few english).
JoBelgium Very friendly people and clean rooms. The walking distance from the center is a small 30 minutes but, if you like, you can take a taxi (taxi lulic) for 20 kuna which is about 3 EUR (price from june 2010). If your plane lands in Zadar, you can take the bus to the main bus station. From there it is 15min walking.
