Chillawhile Backpackers & Art Gallery offers our visitors a chance to share in the Oamaru experience, meet other like-minded guests from all over the globe, and enjoy a range of amenities while staying in a charming renovated home built by one of the town's early settlers. Chillawhile Backpackers was created based on six years of travel in various parts of the world, Chillawhile strives to bring all of the wonderful hospitable experiences under one roof, whilst the backpacking culture may undoubtedly change and grow, we hope that you can experience at Chillawhile what backpacking may have been like for some of the generations of backpackers before us.
