excellent - a very good place - my first hostel, so I can't compare with others. The only caution is that the rooms are very noisy when things wake up on the road outside at about 6.30am. Go and stay there and don't worry about it. Staff were warm, helpful, and very friendly.

Santa Teresa ist ein Stadtteil von Rio der besonders bei Kuenstlern, Malern und Intellektuellen beliebt ist. Wenn du eine ruhige und entspannte Atmosphaere bevorzugst, aber trotzdem nicht weit weg vom Nachtleben sein moechtest, dann ist das Rio Hostel genau richtig fuer dich.

Das Haus ist sehr gemuetlich eingerichtet und hat einen begruenten Aussenbereich, ein Schwimmbad und noch einiges mehr zu bieten. Wenn du lieber die Gegend erkunden moechtest, dann kannst du einen der Ausfluege buchen, die wir anbieten. Das Stadtzentrum ist nur 5 Minuten vom Hostel entfernt. Dort gibt es Museen, Gallerien, Kirchen und Restaurants fuer jeden Geschmack. Abends gehst Du nur ein Stueck die Strasse entlang und schon bist Du in einer der coolen Bars in Lapa.

Umgeben von Natur und doch mitten im historischen Stadtzentrum, bietet die das Rio Hostel ein modernes und zugleich nettes und gemuetliches Zuhause. Voller Leben!

Prices in Brazilian Reals
A deposit will be necessary to ensure your booking.
Breakfast is included.
Carnaval tickets will be sold at the hostel.

Prices per package:
Dorm with 8, 10 or 12 beds: R$ 900.
Dorm with 5 beds: R$950
Dorm with 6 beds with A/C: R$ 1000.
Double room 3000 R$.

-You can check in any time after the beginning of the package and start counting 6 nights from your check in night.
- In case you want to check in before the beginning of the package or check out after the end of the package, the price will be 37 Reals per night per dorm bed and will be charged with the package.

Booking Procedures:
1. Let us know which dorm bed / private room you would like to book and how many people.
2. We will send you the total price and ask for your credit card details.
3. We will charge 50% of the total amount as a deposit.
4. We will automatically charge the rest of the payment ONE month before your check in day (January 18th) with the same credit card.
5. NO SHOW - in case of No Show we will keep the payment.
6. CANCELLATION AND REFUND - Only by email. If you send us an email at least one month before carnival, canceling your booking, we will refund the money (less 50R$ cancellation fee for each bed reserved). In case you cancel less than one month before check in, we will keep 100% of the payment.
7. During the package date we might not have enough lockers for everybody, in this case you will be able to put your valuables in the hostel's safe.
8. We do not offer discounts

From the International Airport: Catch REAL bus to the National Airport - Santos Dumont. Get a taxi over here, only 5 minutes, no more than 12,00 reais. If you schedule with us, we will pick you up.
From the bus station Novo Rio: catch bus number 127 or 128 get off at Nilo Pecanha Avenue, on the same Avenue catch the bus number 206 or 214, when it goes up the hill, start to look for the hostel number. Taxi is better, 15,00 reais maximum.
From Santos Dumont Airport: taxi is the only way up.
