Negative: Really really noisy. Unless you wear earplugs to bed you can feel the subway every three minutes and hear people honking their horns, trucks picking up rubbish and cars taking on and off as there are traffic lights right in front of the place.
Positives: The breakfast is lovely that they provide and the location is great in terms of being only 5 minutes walk to the Aerobus and 20m from the Urquinaona metro stop.

Pleasant hotel in a very central location 5 mins away from the main square and the Ramblas. Not much of a view out of the window (a brick wall), but maybe we just got unlucky. Would stay there again anyway.

This hotel was located a 5 min walk from Placa Catalunya and the nearest metro station was 20 meters from the hotel door. The staff was friendly and all of them spoke English. The hotel was rated with 1 star but it had everything I needed; clean sheets and towels, working and clean toilet, clean shower with warm water AND more; tv, small fridge and free wi-fi. The breakfast was included in the room price that was reasonable. I can recommend this hotel to anyone who does not seek 5 star luxury service and is comfortable with homey feeling.
