Located in the heart of the city, in an old gothic structure, the family-run establishment caters to all your needs with efficiency and decorum. Ideal for those on a shoestring budget, the no-frills hotel nevertheless exudes the charm that is so quaintly Spanish. Shared facilities are available for groups, and the clean, tastefully-decorated rooms are complemented by sufficient amenities.
Our studio suites with kitchenette are the city center hotel alternative. Why do you have to pay more?
We suggest learning the joy of siesta by shopping at Europe\'s biggest open air market ,the Boqueria, also minutes away, for seafood, meat, vegies, all fresh and tasty, then use your kitchen and sweet dreams.

Our guest house offers a selection of studios (indicated as �Deluxe double/ Twin/ Triple Privite�) with a fully equipped kitchen, fridge, air conditioning, TV, private bathroom, hairdryer, and Wi-Fi.
Small twin rooms (bunker-style) with privite bathroom are indicated as � Basic Twin Private �.
We also have cosy small double rooms with TV radio, air conditioning and a private bathroom windows looking into interior patio. They are indicated as \'Basic Double Bed Privite� due to a system limitation.
PLEASE mention the estimate arrival time on your booking, because the check-in time is from 10:00 to 14:00, then 17:00 to 21:00. In case needed check-in out of this period, please contact us and we would like to arrange your recepition hour.
8% VAT not included. An extra fee of 10 Euros will be amended if needed late check-in after 24:00.

Young Portuguese couple - Twin room, shared bathroom.
The main flaw would be that the "twin room" we reserved was a tiny room with poor natural light and a bunk bed. Also, the building was under renovations so there was a strong smell of paint. Still, the "shared bathroom" was right next to our room and it was only used by us. The bathroom was cleaned every day and the towels that we left on the floor were always changed. The room had AC and everything you need to make tea. But outside the room, there aren't any facilities. There aren't common rooms. The staff was nice. They're chinese and speak a little of english and spanish. The building is in a quiet street, but it's very close to the Ramblas (about 3 min walking) and right next to a subway station. I think, overall, it was worth our money, but if we had planned our reservation sooner (we only reserved a month ahead), we would probably tried something else.

This facility might be well-located and fairly clean, but the service stinks! We ended up here when the hotel we were supposed to be in had a booking problem. As soon as the hotelier who brought us over left, the owner of SP became very grumpy. She did not want to bother making the second bed for my mother and I, saying we could share since it was only one night. The worst part was that later that night, when several guests literally ran screaming through the hallways, the owner was not available to come and fix the problem, despite signs posted saying such behaviour would not be tolerated. When I called her, she actually suggested that I go and tell them to be quiet - or to knock on someone else's door to ask them to do it! I don't care if the place was 20 Euros a night (which it wasn't - it was 73!), I wouldn't do that - I was a paying guest there! I emphatically would NOT recommend this property!!!!

I just came back from a wonderful trip to Barcelona. It was a great experience which I will recommend to all my friends. Also the accommodation was very good. We had a small room, but very clean. They cleaned the bathroom every day and our beds were also done.
The receptionist was very helpful by advising us and calling a taxi when we needed one.O and everywhere I come I love the extra's! Here we had a watercooker and nescafe and tea included!
For just 15 euro pp pn its a good deal!

Pelayo Studios is very well located, next to bus stop in Plaza Catalunya and underground. We passed a good time in this guest house (a studio with kitchen and private bathroom), a bit narrow for three people but comfortable for two people.
It was clean, the housmaid usually came every day to change our towels, to clean and tidy the bathroom and our room.
However, the kitchen wasn't full equipped, the cooking equipment was barely enough. The microwave didn't work.
If your room looks onto the patio, it's very quiet.
The reception was good. They provided us with what was missing.
I find it's good value for money.
We had difficulty finding the acccommodation, as not well sign posted. No English spoken and had difficulty getting assistance. Good central location.
