The Hostal Residencia Rober is located in the centre of Madrid, just 300m from Puerta del Sol and 100 metres from the Royal Palace.
It has been managed by the same family for more than 20 years and in it you will find the family ideals of tranquillity and cleanliness (only speaks a litle bit english the daughter, the parents speaks a litle bit french). We offer double rooms, ensuite.
We have been highly recommended in several guide books including Lets Go and are very popular with tourists worldwide.
There is not breakfast served in the hotel.
Cancellations are accepted 48 hours prior to arrival date (within 12:00 am, Madrid time).

This hotel is good, but too much sound around, because it is very near the tourist places and the nightclubs. In otherwise it's close the metro (subway), the Royal Palace, "Plaza Mayor" and "Puerta del Sol". In general is a good hotel.

Very good value hostel more like a hotel with quirks. Access to hostel is by buzzer from reception which is staffed 24/7. On 5th floor but has a lift. We know very little Spanish and got along fine. Room itself is very clean and comfortable if a bit old. However for the price and location (a 5min talk to Sol and even less to heavenly St Gines Churreria) Would absolutely recommend.
