In general this hostel is highly recommended for budgeted traveller, located at the Khao San road, it is a tranquil ambience in the middle of hectic location. but the facilities is standard like shared bathroom, mattress.
But as the room is limited make sure you have the reservation before coming to this place. I definitely will go back again to this place in the future...

Shambara Boutique Property was added to Khao San Road's long list of guest houses in April 2004. However, this is one of the few peaceful properties in the Khao San area because, incredibly, we are only a minute away from the main road.

Opened since April 2004, it has been transformed from a 2-storey Thai woodhouse to be a warm hearted accommodation.

We offer single, double and twin rooms which have air conditioning or fan and almost rooms have windows. When you want to relax we have a common room and the bathrooms for guests are all extremely clean.

Room rates :

* Single room air con is 390 THB, fan 300 THB.

* Double / Twin room air con is 600 THB, fan 500 THB.

Shambara is located on the east side of the Khao San Road, only a minute away on Tanao Road.

Recommendation : only address and street is not enough for travelling in Bangkok, so please make sure you have the direction to Shambara with you.

We stayed 2 nights. The room was tiny, just fitted a bed in. Window looked onto a wall a foot or two away. Shared toilet and bathroom was okay. Toast and tea or coffee provided at breakfast was a bonus. Is situated down dingey, smelly allyway off horrible Kaosan rd. The receptionist not friendly but cleaning girl smilely.
