Accommodation was great for travellers, close to transport, close to bars, restuarants and easy walk to Las Ramblas. Clinton was very helpful, providing us with a map and valuable information on what to see and do and how to get there. Rooms were basic but clean and it was great having a communal kitchen and lounge area. Apartment was secure and the shutters blocked out the late night street noise.

MapaMundo ist ein familiäres Gästehaus im Zentrum von Barcelona und es ist einfach zu finden .
Wir bieten eine sehr grosse Wohnung mit grossen Zimmern an, und das "Haus" wird nur von wenigen Gästen frequentiert. Die Zimmer sind gemuetlich eingerichtet und sie verbreiten eine angenehme Wohnatmosphaere; nicht selten bleiben die Gäste länger als geplant.
MapaMundo liegt für touristische Ausflüge und Spaziergänge sehr günstig mitten im gotischen Viertel und nur 5 Minuten Fussweg weit von den beruehmten Ramblas entfernt..Andere touristische Sehenswürdigkeiten wie das Picasso Museum, der Hafen, die Plaza Catalunya usw. sind einfach zu erreichen.
Im Umkreis Ihrer Wohnung finden sie viele sehr gute typische Bars und spanische Restaurants, teilweise mit Terassen . Gerne geben wir Ihnen auch Tipps, wo sie gut und preiswert essen koennen, wenngleich es sich auch lohnt, eigene Erfahrungen zu sammeln.
MapaMundo hat sich das Ziel gesetzt, immer fuer seine Gäste da zu sein und Ihnen zu einem unvergesslichen und schönen Aufenthalt in Barcelona zu verhelfen.

This place is really good because has a good location (center of Bairro Gotico) and the owners are nice and give you nice tips about what to visit and where to eat. They have lockers, where you could leave your bagage in the last day (after check out).

Great location in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. Friendly and helpful staff. Basic facilities but clean and pleasant rooms. Over all, very good value. Would definitely come again.

Fantastic location - just 200 yards from Ramblas. Clean and safe - but pretty noisy as in the heart of Old Town. BUt dont expect anything more than a clean bed and basic fascilities. This is a flat converted into 4 double rooms for rent.
People running the pension are very helpful. just outside - great bike rental and 2 nice restaurants/pubs. Great value for money.
The description matches exactly what you find on site.
Well situated, its a flat turned into a guesthouse. As a result of it bathroom is shared. A big advantage is a fully equipped kitchen. Another big advantage is hospitality of the staff, they will help you with many things. Disadvantages are connected to the location of the guesthouse. Although the flat is quite clean and nice, the house where it is situated is old and ugly (as many others around in the old quarter of Barcelona). The biggest disadvantage is however the noisiness of the surroundings of the flat. No matter what, its a good value for money, but I would recommend it especially to students and young people who will benefit from its advantages the most.

Please come straight to the property after you have arrived in Barcelona, as we will be waiting for you here at the hour you indicated in the booking.
Arriving from Barcelona airport
Bus:
When getting out of the Airport of Barcelona we recommend you to take a blue bus called " AEROBUS" to Plaza Catalunya. This bus connects the Airport to the city and it is the easiest way to arrive. It is about 4 euros but it leaves you in the city center of Barcelona. You have to get off the bus in Plaza Catalunya. ( this is the terminus)
In Plaza Catalunya you have to take a metro.
The metro you have to take is the Metro Line 3 (the Green line) with direction to "Zona Universitaria". Once you will be in the metro Direction Zona Universitaria, you will pass metro station Liceu and the next one is Drassanes. You have to get off in 'Drassanes' Station, exit Las Ramblas.
Just in front of the exit of the station, there is the Carrer de Josep Anselm Clave Street.
This street is on your left; This means when you are on the Ramblas, with Plaza Catalunya in your back and Colon statue in front of you, it is on the left. You have to follow Josep Anselm Clave Street. This street changes it's name to Carrer Ample.
When you are walking in Carrer Ample and arrive at the corner with Carrer d'Avinyó (the other side of Avignó is named calle Simo Oller), turn left in Avinyo, the second street on your right will now be Carrer de Milans. Turn right into Carrer Milans (The sign of the street name will be on the opposite side that you are facing). You'll find us at number 4, ring the doorbell marked 'Marcelo, Principal 3a''.
Train:
Every 30 minutes a train leaves from the airport. Take the train and get off in Barcelona Sants Station, then you have to take the Metro, Line 3 (green line) with direction to Canyelles and get off in the 'Drassanes' Station. Once you are in Drassanes please follow explanations above.
Arriving from Girona Airport :
Take the Bus to Barcelona until Estacio Nord. In front there is a Metro Station. You have to Take Line 1(Red Line ) with direction to Hospital de Bellvitge. You have to get off in Plaza Catalunya. Change to Line 3 (the green line ) with direction to Zona Universitaria. You pass Liceu metro station and get off in Drassanes. Once you are in Drassanes please follow explanations above.
