a good hotel in the center of belem. the rooms are very plain, but tidy and the price is really appropriate. For a small charge (1-2 real) you can use the hotel's internet acces. the staff is very friendly and speaks proper english (which is very rare in brazil) you can also buy water at the reception (which is useful as you shouldn't drink the tap water).
