Louis, your host is very accomodating and sincerely helpful in every way. You are basically sharing his 2 bedroom apartment, having your own bedroom that locks and you get the key, so it can lock during the day as well. Louis was hardly ever around, gone early, back late so we had the apartment to ourselves 95% of the time. The commute to Times Square is only 15 minutes and you save a lot of money by booking off Manhattan so that you have more money for shows and shopping.

-Multiple 24-hour transportation alternatives just steps away - 1 block to Q32, Q60 buses to Manhattan, 2 blocks to #7 train(Times Square: 15 minutes), abundant availability of yellow cabs and pvt car services

-Close proximity to numerous restaurants serving excellent food of several varieties

-24 hour supermarkets w/ great selection of reasonably priced healthy foods just around the corner and Rite Aid pharmacy at the corner

-Vibrant playground 2 blocks away where challenging soccer is played regularly and basketball, handball, and children's play area is available

Louis was hardly ever around, gone early, back late so we had the apartment to ourselves 95% of the time. The commute to Times Square is only 15 minutes and you save a lot of money by booking off Manhattan so that you have more money for shows and shopping. There are many inexpensive restaurants in the area, a grocery, drugstore and liquor store from 1 to 4 blocks away.
We felt extremely safe at all times, even travelling the subway late at night after shows.
