We chose this hotel because it is just a bit away from the main crowd and has its own beach that does not get so crowded. Still you are only 20 minute walk from the heart of action. The rooms are spacious, service excellent, price REALLY cheap, and it is beachfront! We did not expect much for the price and we were pleasantly surprised! We really liked Cabo Frio overall. This is where all Cariocas (people from Rio de Janeiro) spend their vacations.

Pousada Laguna ist ansiedelt am Rand des Meeres in einem des schönsten Strand von Cabo Frio „Praia do Foguete". Auf einer Beere, die sich mehr als 15 km entfernt aus reinen weißen Sandes und ein Meer aus türkisen blaues wasser. Ein Wahres Postkarte. Der Gasthof Laguna angesiedelt nur 2 km des Zentrums von Cabo Frio und des Strand "Praia do Forte" des am meisten besuchten von der Region der Seen ist und nur 5 km werden Sie „Arraial do Cabo" die Hauptstadt des finden und etwas weniger als 15km „Búzios" unser Brasilian Saint Tropez. Rio de Janeiro ist ein wenig mehr als 150 km, weniger als 2 Stunden Kraftfahrzeug. Der Gasthof ist das einzige der Region eine panoramische Sicht auf cabo Frio und Arraial do Cabo in dem gleichen Plan zu haben! The rooms are spacious, service excellent, price REALLY cheap, and it is beachfront! We did not expect much for the price and we were pleasantly surprised! We really liked Cabo Frio overall. This is where all Cariocas (people from Rio de Janeiro) spend their vacations. Forget Buzios, Cabo Frio is the place to be! The beaches here are infinetly better, the prices are way cheper it is not so crowded as Buzios. Praia do Forte is an exception, we could not get to the water because of the crowd on Sunday...

Pousada Laguna is located on a gorgeous beach front with white crystal sand & turquoise ocean just like on a postcard!

For GPS or search: Rua das Dunas 1140, Cabo Frio-RJ, Brazil.

By car: Cabo Frio is less than 100 miles o 2 hour drive away (depends on the traffic) from Rio de Janeiro. Follow the signs for Niteroi, after the 13km Rio-Niterói bridge make a left in direction of Rio Bonito, about 50km. Then take a right (Via Lagos) following the sign Araruama / Cabo Frio (Regiao dos Lagos). Continue for another 70kms past Araruama and Sao Pedro. In Cabo Frio reach the first & only round-about on this highway (WV Casal car dealership). Go straight following the sign to Airport and Arraial do Cabo for exactly 2km, look for sign 'Pousada Laguna' on your right and turn left at Av. dos Passaros, left again at the beach front street, Rua dos Atobas, we are just 100 yards away.

By bus: Taxi ride to the bus station (rodoviaria) from the airport, Copacabana or Center is around R$25. From 'Rodoviária Novo Rio' take Autoviacao 1001 bus to Cabo Frio (every 30 minutes, cost R$ 20, 2-3 hour trip). Take a taxi (R$10-15) or local bus to Arraial do Cabo (R$3.15).
