The Hotel Mahayana is the perfect spot to relax after a fun day at the beach, on the ocean or in the jungle.
We are only a short walk from the beach and even less from bars and restaurants.
Tamarindo is well known for the large variety of tours and entertainment of all kinds offered. You can go sailing at sunset, track crocodiles in the mangrove river, and enjoy surf classes, scuba diving, snorkelling, sport fishing, 4x4 expeditions, canopy tours, bird watching and much more.
We will gladly help you to book your tours or find what you are looking for.
If you prefer to stay on the premises, you can relax in the Jacuzzi and enjoy the deck.
The hotel is equipped with a common kitchen to accommodate you on the site.
The 6 charming double rooms all have AC, ceiling fan, mini-fridge, orthopedic mattresses, hot water bathrooms and private terrace!
Double rooms have 1 Queen size bed or 2 twin beds (depends on availability) and the Quadruple rooms have 4 twin beds

A very nice hotel, close to everything, but quiet and calm.

this location was hard to find. But was les than 5 minute walk. The hotel had hot water a fan and a/c.. the staff was friendly and there was a jacuzzi. there was also a community kitchen. I was very happy with the cost of the hotel was 30 bucks for 2 people per night. Right across from the hotel there is the dragon fly and la bahula restaurant then a 2 MIN walk to sharkys ... great party spot and also its close to the laundy and atm and other shopping areas

This hostel is quite small and very low-key, if that's what you're looking for. The rooms were great with A/C (extra) and ceiling fan and clean bathrooms; hot showers were not-so-hot, but the water was definitely warm enough. The kitchen is a little small, but we didn't cook, so it worked out. The owners/managers which were there during our stay were so nice and accommodating, especially with our late check-out.
There are also a couple of amazing restaurants on the same street, too which was convenient (Dragon Fly and La Baula). Would totally recommend it.
