Lasswade is located just 5km from the Edinburgh bypass and 20 mins by bus from Edinburgh City Centre.

The Laird & Dog has a long history. The first pub was established on the premises in 1740 and was know as the Lasswade Inn. In the late 18th century, permission was granted for a well, which we believe was used for the purposes of brewing or distilling. This well was only re-discovered in 1999 during the construction of the new conservatory. The well has now been restored and now on entering the conservatory, you have to walk over this piece of Lasswade history.
