Check-in: 2pm. However, we can keep your bags for you if you arrive earlier. If you'll be arriving after 11.30pm please advise the hostel. Photo identification in the form of a driver's licence or a passport is required at check-in. You pay for your room upon arrival but please make sure your credit card is valid. Cards are verified the night before arrival and bookings with invalid credit cards may be cancelled. If you've booked using a debit card, you must contact the hostel at least 24hrs before you arrival to confirm.
If you are in any doubt about this please ring and confirm your booking before you arrive.

RSSGreat attentive service. It's a little cheaper pricewise as it's far from the Tube, but I literally ate the nightly price in the form of the great and free cereal, toast and juice in the morning.
If you're on a budget, it's hard to go wrong here. The DLR spits you out literally next door at its Greenwich stop from Canon Street or Charing Cross. Or if you're going on late night benders or concerts like I did, the 24 hour buses are reliable and cheap.
There were tons of luggage in the rooms from fellow travellers so I kept my stuff on my bed. But the other guests were extraordinarily respectable and friendly.
Even on the 3rd floor you could hear the music from the Belushi bar downstairs, but they quiet down at a reasonable time. I went to the bar one night, free admission from outside with your key card, and discovered a cool cover band.
Over my 5 nights here, the shower worked only sporadically one morning, and it always alternated between hot and cold on its own.
But this is vastly outweighed by the impressive friendliness of the staff, the free morning breakfasts to eat until you're full, and the price. Recommended!

I had booked for our family consisting of 5 members in a dormitory for 8 persons. I presumed that this would mean that the whole room would be for us, as a youth hostel does. It turned out that three other persons would stay in the room. Moreover, the toilet and bathroom was outside the room.
We payed for one night and left the pub... The staff was correct, so I'm not complaining. I have learned my lesson : in a backpackers' facility, you can't stay with a family....
