Very friendly and helpfull staff. The wifi worked well. Convenient situated for going both to the city centre and to the airport. Clean and silent, not top standard, but well worth the money.
Myself and my boyfriend went to this hotel for a weekend break. We arrived early afternoon and were greeted by a young oriental man who was friendly but seemed a little nervous. The reception smelt damp and looked like it could do with a tidy up. We were given the key to our room- room 1 which was downstairs to the back of the hotel. The room was clean if a little dated. However there was no hairdryer even though it said on the website they provide them. My partner asked the man at reception who did apologise and found one for us. We had a double room but it was 2 single beds which had been joined together horizontally. Being short this wasn't a problem for me. Ut my boyfriend found this uncomfortable at times during the night. We also noticed above the shower the ceiling was coming away and someone had taped it up. The hotel is at the end of the curry mile and about a 40 minute walk to town however buses are frequent. One thing i will recommend rather than paying expensive taxi fairs is to get the bus at the end of the road and ask for a day ticket. It's £3.50 and can be used on most of the frequent buses and is valid until 4am the following morning. Therefore if like us you want a few drinks until late you can get the bus back. We got 4 journeys out of ours! All in all the hotel is reasonably priced and you get what you pay for if you just want a bed and bathroom for the night would stay again!

A quiet and nice place for a traveller to rest. I was there with my son (july 8th and 9th) and despite the fact of not having twin ensuites the shared toilet / bathroom was spotless.
Platt Fields park is just across the road and it deserves a stroll. Manchester city is 15 min. far by bus which runs very often. The management was nice and eager to help.

stayed recently as been to take that concert, although the area isnt the best the hotel it self was really nice, its a little dated, we had a room with private en suite that slept four, it had like a mini kitchen in there with fridge, the room was like new and extremely clean, the only downside was the toilet/showerroom didnt have a proper door,it was a plastic slidy thing with no lock and not very sound proof! the owners were very friendly and very relaxed feeling in the hotel, i would definetely stay there again, great value for money

I picked this hotel searching on the internet because it was out of the city centre proper, great value, and read reviews that the owners were nice people.
When I arrived with my friend I was surprised at how clean and neat the hotel and room was, and the owners were very friendly and helpful. I had a double room with shared bathroom and toilets. These facilities were kept very clean, and we received clean towels every morning as well.
I drank at least two coffees every morning in the room, and tea before bed, and this was kept stocked up daily, which I thought was very nice. (we were booked 9 nights).
The location is at the end of curry mile. It's a quick walk to the city centre, (about 25 minutes) ... or there are a lot of buses that pass by the main road. The hotel area is nice and quiet and we felt safe walking around.
The owner even called a cab for us when we were departing for the airport.
Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. There was a personal touch to everything. It felt like we were staying at someone's home.

The staff at the hotel were increibely friendly and helpful, for example they were able to give me and my friend bus information for the surrounding area and booked us the cheapest taxi firm in town to get back the airport after our stay. The facilities there are a little out dated, but nothing major. Having to share bathroom facilities may be a bit of downer for some people though. For the price though it's an excellent place to stay as it's a 5 minute bus journey to City Centre and located near the Curry Mile, which is a bonus if you like Takeaways!
