Günstige Unterkünfte > Europa > England > Salisbury > Jugendherbergen > YHA Salisbury
This was our favorite hostel on our month long trip. We ended up getting a private room, though we paid for a shared one. There was also a free breakfast every morning. It's within walking distance of the bus station, train station, and Salisbury Cathedral. The woman at the counter (who apparently use to work at the Albatross in Newcastle) was extremely nice.
This is what a hostel should be.

This is a 200-year-old building in secluded grounds. It is just a short walk into the heart of the historic city of Salisbury and makes a good base for groups seeking to explore the multitude of attractions throughout Wiltshire. It's just minutes from Salisbury Cathedral and nine miles from Stonehenge. The hostel is very popular with our international guests.
We offer 1, 2, and 4 bedded rooms plus larger dormitories. Breakfast is included in the price and picnic lunch can be purchased from reception. Evening meals are only available to groups booking in advance.
Our hostel is great for off-road cycling and history enthusiasts.
YHA Salisbury is part of the Youth Hostel Association and membership of this organisation or the International Youth Hostel Federation is required. It can be purchased on arrival.
YHA policy states that customers under 14 years of age are not permitted to stay in shared dormitories, and those under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is aged 18 years or older. Anyone between the age of 16 and 18, if unaccompanied, must book a private room or share with individuals of the same sex and age group. YHA strongly recommends that customers wishing to bring children under the age of 18 reserve a private room and do not stay in shared dormitories.
