Transfer by local taxi company - 'Stansted Airport Cars' from 11GBP up to 6 passengers and also available a 8 seat bus from 15GBP, phone booking +44 (0)1279 661155 (681483fax) for this 24 hour airport taxi company, phone when you arrive and go to Bay 3 in the bus/coach station to meet the taxi for pick up they have taxi cars waiting 24 hours any time of day/night, the fastest way here and they know Greenways very well.

-By CAR from M11 Jct 8 roundabout with services, exit B1256 Takeley (reclassified from A120) turn right opposite Esso garage on to lane to Great Hallingbury. On this lane you will travel 1 mile, halfway on the left is the slightly obscured Hop Poles Pub, continue past to the tight right hand bend and the flint house opposite continue through bend and look left side for 3rd house coloured yellow. Do not pass The Grove.

By - Walking - Stansted Airport Terminal via Takeley to Great Hallingbury. Total Route = 5 Miles/Average time 90 minutes. map at www.maps.google.co.uk enter CM22 7TS. You can break your journey by stopping to drink in the pubs or eating a meal half way at the Greenman or our local Hop poles pub. Exit main terminal doors turn RIGHT (west) along the road. Walk down to the big roundabout and turn LEFT (south). Take the exit (south)(small local road) leads to a much smaller (mini Roundabout) only a 10 metres away. Keep walking straight over this small mini roundabout (south) towards Takeley village. 1.5 miles - To Takeley, pass Stansted Guest House, then at 'The four Ashes' pub turn RIGHT (west). 2.5 miles - Pass the Greenman pub and AUDI car show rooms to Esso Garage. 1 mile - ESSO garage turn LEFT (south) to Great Hallingbury, pass Anton's Restaurant, then Sir John pub continue to right hand bend with flint house go right on bend continue to Greenways Lodge.
