Über Peace & Love Hostel
Unsere Jugendherberge 'Peace & Love ' liegt in der nordoestlichen Innenstadt von Paris. Sie wurde letzten Dezember komplett renoviert und neu ausgestattet. Die Rezeption ist gleichzeitig eine Bar, die bis 2:00 Uhr geoeffnet ist.
Wir haben einen Fernseher mit internationalen Kanaelen, ein Internet-Terminal, sowie ein Telefon und ein Faxgeraet. In unserem kostenlosen Safe koennt ihr eure Werstsachen lagern wenn ihr sie nicht mitnehen wollt. Wir haben ausserdem eine Kueche, komplett ausgestattet mit Ofen, Mikrowelle, Kuehlschrank, Toaster...
Unsere Rezeption ist rund um die Uhr besetzt, das heisst ihr koennt kommen wann ihr wollt. Wir schliessen unsere zimmer tagsueber nicht ab.
Nicht weit vom Hostel finden sich Baeckereien, Supermaerkte und Waschsalons, die naechste Metrostation (Jaurès) ist ca. 50m entfernt. Zum Gare du Nord und Gare de l'Est sind es 10 Gehminuten.
Es gibt Duschen in allen unseren Zimmern, in den meisten auch eine Toilette. Wir haben Doppelzimmer, Zimmer fuer drei, vier oder fuenf Personen und ausserdem Schlafsaele. Saemtliche Betten ind Stockbetten (es gibt kein Doppelbett in unserem Hostel!), in den Dreierzimmern ist zusaetzlich zum Stockbett noch eine Matratze auf dem Boden.
In unserer Bar gibt es billige Getraenke, von Bier bis zu Cocktails, und jede Woche Live-Musik, Karaoke oder eine DJ-Party.
Wir bieten ausserdem zwei lustige und informative Fuehrungen zu Fuss an bei denen ihr - mit etwas Glueck und offenen augen und Ohren - kostenlose Getraenke gewinnen koennt. Bei der einen Fuehrung entdeckt ihr Montmartre und das Kuenstlerviertel und koennt einen Blick auf Paris bei Nacht werfen ; bei der anderen geht's zum 'Pere Lachaise' - Friedhof und zum 'Buttes Chaumont' - Park, dem aeltesten Park in Paris, mit Wasserfall und Hoefle. Dies ist ein eher unerforschter Teil Paris' von dem wenige Touristen wissen. Beide Fuehrugen werden in Englisch und Spanisch angeboten, anmelden koennt ihr euch sobald ihr da seid.

RSSGreat place!!! Fully equipped kitchen, bar with a 4 hour long happy hour... Free drinks for a lots of things, clean and nice rooms, and great company. We (at the time 2 american 1 scottish, 1 hungarian, a few sweden and a few mexican) cooked dinner together, and real traveller friendship was born. If you want to party in Paris, this is you're place.
This was a really great hostel for a backpacker to visit a few days.
Great location, walking distance from Gare de Nord and Est and with the metro next door and the city centre about 15-25 minutes away. Close to resturants, supermarket and small stores.A great place to meet other people with the bar as a commonroom and a friendly atmosphere between travellers from all over.
Decent rooms and safe locker in the reception, but the road just outside could be a bit noisy. A bad thing was that the wi-fi only worked during the day for free.
The staff was so great, really, really nice,funny, and helpfull to all guests and a good reason to come back.
Peace and Love is perfect for travellers who want to meet other people and have a good time.

would be far better if it wasnt for all the stairs and the odd shape of the rooms. everything had just sort of been crammed in to too samll a space

Good value (in the context of uber expensive paris) with good access to the city on foot or by metro, and it's a big enough place that you meet a lot of people. Kitchen is well equipped but a common room would have helped cos theres only really the bar in which to chillax and eat your dinner etc. Beware if you end up in a topfloor room; this will involve many many flights of stairs! But seriously, so what?! This hostel has had several overly negative reviews, I thought it was cool, I've stayed in loads of much worse places!
