Newly opened in June of 2011, our hostel is located in a fantastic building of soft Portuguese style.
It's been decorated with a pop art theme, and is the ideal starting point for falling in love with this city.
The best of Lisbon is but a step away. In our hostel you'll find comfort, hygiene, safety and a readily available team to advise you on the top places to visit, as well as the finest bars and restaurants.
In our hostel we have shared dormitories with 2, 4, 6 and 8 beds and a shared bathroom. We have three twin rooms and one female dormitory with a shared bathroom. If you prefer, there is also one double room with a shared bathroom.
We can accommodate up to 48 people. Our rooms are all very sunny. Small lights and locker box for your small personal stuff are available with every bed.
Benefiting from a unique and privileged location in the monumental and museum centre of Lisbon, People Hostel is an ideal starting point to explore the culture, the history, the architecture, and in a relaxed way, the soul and the identity of the city.

Bunk beds were too short for adults and so low you couldn't sit up in bed. The hostel was infested with mosquitoes. There was a very nice terrace, but the kitchen area and bathrooms were too limited. Particularly the bathrooms were crowded and in poor repair. Two toilets, two sinks and two showers for all of the females in the hostel was simply not convenient. Hostel is not centrally located, but is close to public transport in a quiet area with restaurants and coffeeshops nearby, not to mention Dos Jeronimos Monastery. Breakfast was only from 8-10 and was fair, although sometimes not refilled, even before the 9.45 cut-off. Otherwise, staff were nice and helpful and the hostel was clean and modern, entirely outfitted by Ikea from the looks of it.
