After I booked this hotel I sent e-mail to the hotel to ask for favourite.
The hotel replied fast and I got the right room.
White bread toast is no good breakfast in Indonesia...

Good location. Easy access to Malioboro.
Room clean. Should provide toilet paper to cater to international needs.
Better to take the Air-contioning room.
The airport tranfer they helped arranged was good.

Just a word of caution:
The bechak along Sosrowijayan is not so trustworthy.
We wanted to to to the beringharjo market but they took a HUGE round and brought me to a batik shop first. A 10 minutes journey took half an hour.

Overall good. Likely to stay if I do travel there again.

When we booked at the Travellerspoint, we were promised AC and hot water, but when we reached, the room was only with a fan that is very noisy and not big enough for the room. The toilet was bearable if you are out most of the time. I was going to spend some time in the room. So we decided to look for another budget hotel nearby. Don't go to Merbabu Hotel.

Cheap and cheerful hotel located right in the middle of the backpacker area. New AC, clean beds, TV, clean bathroom. Cold shower though. Good place to stay if you don't plan on spending much time in a hotel. Would definately stay here again.
