Über Hostal de l'Alguer
The hostel de l' Alguer is part of the Hostelling International association of Hostels in Italy. We are a nice and friendly hostel situated in one of the most beautiful cities in Sardinia. We are only a 5 minute walk from the beach 'Punta Negra' and you can easily reach other wonderful beaches like 'Spiaggia delle Bombarde' and 'Spiaggia del Lazareto' from here also.
Pure white sands alternate with tiny hidden coves, sheer cliffs frequently soar above magnificent caves and picturesque rocks rise from a clear sparkling sea facing rugged promontories, eroded by the wind.
The inland villages too possess features of interest to the visitors.
Another tourist attraction that you can visit is 'Grotte di Nettuno', only 10 Km far from the hostel.
Please note, if you are not a Member of Hostelling International there is an extra charge of €3 per person per night. Once you have stayed 6 nights at a HI Hostel you become a HI member, and no extra charges apply for future stays.

Quite a nice hostel with a kind staff, but I think it's a little expensive.

I only spent one night passing by Alghero on the way to Olbia.
I found it very friendly, good people, good service and food and the most important you don´t feel alone. I was by myself but they make you feel at home. Clean and basic shared rooms one minute from the beach and five minutes walk from the town.

It's very near from the airport and from Alghero as well.
The rooms and bathrooms are clean and the people working there are very kind.
The only thing I didn't like is the breakfast: bread with butter and jam and tea or coffee. Every day the same.
I think it could be a bit different every day or at least include some other croisant for free!
