Short Stop is pretty good value for the city of Florence. Its close to the Duomo and really walking to everywhere else was not a problem. The apartment itself was fine if you're used to budget accomodation. It has a small kitchen area, a table & chairs and a double bed in the main room and three beds in a second room and a shower room.

Über ShortStop
Eine wirklich nette Wohnung nur für Sie, mit bequemen Möbeln und Küche, im Herzen von Florenz. Eine kleine Terrasse mit einer wirklich schönen Ansicht zum Duomo:- privat) nahe dem zentralen Markt San Lorenzo (wo Sie gute frische und preiswerte Lebensmittel finden können!)
Wir sind gerade fünf Minuten zu Fuß vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt und in wenigen Minuten gehen Sie zum den wichtigsten Sehenswuerdigkeiten, in einem lebhaften Viertel, mit ausgelassenem Nachtleben.
Wir wuenschen Sie herzlich willkommen, und freuen uns Ihnen auf Englisch, Franzoesisch und selbstverständlich auf Italienisch sowie mit etwas Spanisch helfen zu koennen!

ANMERKUNG: Ihre Abfertigungen sind in der Locanda Daniel (das gleiche Gebäude, der gleiche Stock) von 8.30 morgens bis 13.30 moeglich. Wenn Sie am Nachmittag ankommen bitten wir Sie mit einem Telefonanruf oder einem e-mail ihre Eintreffen zu avvisieren, damit wir eine Zeitpunkt mit Ihnen verabreden koennen!

Short Stop is pretty good value for the city of Florence. Its close to the Duomo and really walking to everywhere else was not a problem. The apartment itself was fine if you're used to budget accomodation. It has a small kitchen area, a table & chairs and a double bed in the main room and three beds in a second room and a shower room. It was a little under equipped in my opinion, but fine for a short stop and probably no problem for groups ( we were travelling with kids and trying to cook most meals to keep costs down).
It was quite difficult to find, go up Via Nazionale from the train station and when you see a launderette and supermarket on the left hand side of the road, its in the building opposite and you have 3 flights of stairs to climb!
There's a computer with 24hr internet access in the hostel accross the landing, run by the same people.
I can't really comment on the staff - friendly enough, but being in the apartment we didn't really see them.
All in all, good value and no problems.

Directions (how to arrive at the establishment) : We are situated in the centre of Florence, just five minutes on foot from the central train station, in Via Nazionale 22(black numbers)
Leaving the tracks of the train station, take the exit on your left, cross the road, turn to the right; when you get to the corner (you can see a McDonald's), turn left; now you are in Largo Fratelli Alinari, that's the beginning of via Nazionale.
Go ahead for two hundred meters, there we are, after the little Via Chiara, on the right side of the street!
