Our hostel is located in Castroreale a quiet and pretty village on the green slopes of Peloritani mountains only few kilometers (13Km) away from Milazzo and from the port where you can take ship for Eolian Islands.

The Hostel is near a medieval tower and have a nice garden and solarium. The castle's terraces overlook the blue Tyrrhenian Sea and green fascinating mountains, whose paths can lead you discover spots of uncontaminated nature and traditional aspect that seem to belong the past.

There are many possibilities for excursions to the surrounding mountains. Mount Etna whit its smoking crater can be easily reached. The sea is not very distance, occured 15 min. by car or bus. The prices of this hostel are the lowest in Sicily.

The Youth Hostel Delle Aquile is part of the Hostelling International association of Hostels in Italy.

Please note, if you are not a Member of Hostelling International there is an extra charge of €3 per person per night. Once you have stayed 6 nights at a HI Hostel you become a HI member, and no extra charges apply for future stays.

Excursions:

1. Cape of Tindari- Sanctuary of Black Madonna- greek theatre and museum- natural reserve of Marinello lakes, 7 salt lakes near the sea. Price: E 41,00 per each person. Departure h. 10.00am Return h. 5.30 pm.

2. Alcantara Gauge, prismatic shape of basalt rocks, which were formed by the cooling and solidification of ancient lava flows creating sheer walls in some places as high 50 mt, between which flow the crystal waters of the river. Different activities of Alcantara park: discent and return to the shores of gorge, guided trek, guided river trek, body rafting. In the afternoon: Taormina, the most sought and exclusive Sicilian resort.

Price: E 48,00 per each person. Departure h. 9.30 am Return h. 18.30 pm.
